Today Marko Saric announced that this week his website ‘HowToMakeMyBlog’ turns 1!
In his post ‘From 0 to 200.000 visitors, 8 blogging lessons learned in the first year‘ he mentions eight ways to gain great traffic to your blog. To any beginning blogger (like me) it’s a must-read! Every word is true.
Besides promoting your blog through commenting and tweeting there are more ways and he covers all of them, except one: trackbacks.
With my previous post I managed to be listed as the first in CopyBloggers latest article. Brought me 60+ unique visitors!
Writing articles about subjects others are writing about, Wordpress calls it trackbacks. Blogs like
CopyBlogger and HowToMakeMyBlog are highly appreciative towards trackbacks; they have a separate heading for them under every post, which means great traffic for your article.
It’s highly advisable to write on the blogs latest articles, this so the link to your blog is actually seen by the greater audience of the other blog.
